With our remodel, we gave the Afterimages blog a new name! "Behind the Scenes" means we plan to give you a window in to what we do while preparing and show what happens long before the dancer's take the stage in December for Afterimages 2014!
First, I would like to introduce the Directing Team!
Ashlyn Cianciolo
Ashlyn is a Senior and the second-year member on the Afterimages team. She will be graduating in December 2014 with a Dance Major and Business Minor! She has performed in Afterimages Outtakes the past three years and in Afterimages the past two years. Her choreography has been in both shows and this is her second year on the directing team!
McKenna Emerine
McKenna is a Junior on the Afterimages team. She will be graduating in December of 2016 with an Arts Management major and Dance and Spanish minors. She has performed in Afterimages Outtakes her freshman and sophomore years, and she was in Afterimages as well her freshman year. This is her first year on the directing team.
Emily Hein
Emily is a junior member on the Afterimages Directing team. This is her first year on the team and she is enjoying the process. Emily is pursuing degrees in both Dance and Arts Management. She expects to graduate from UWSP in Spring 2016. Emily performed for Afterimages Outtakes 2013 in the pieces entitled “Over the Pond,” and “In the Heat of Your Light.” This Afterimages season, Emily is participating in two pieces as well as choreographing her own piece.
Alyssa Berube
Alyssa is the Public Relations Intern for Afterimages 2014 and working closely with the directing team. She will be graduating in May 2015 with majors in Dance and Arts Management! She has performed in Afterimages Outtakes the past three years and in Afterimages for 2 seasons. Also, her choreography was in Afterimages 2013.
Ashley Stock
Ashley is a fifth-year senior and will be graduating in May 2015 with a BFA in Design/Technology Theatre and a BA in German. This is her fifth production of Afterimages in as many years and having the opportunity to come full circle with such a unique and annual production could not be any more enjoyable for her. From assistant stage manager in 2010 to lighting design work for 2011 to 2013, she is very happy to be ending such a wonderful span as both a stage manager and lighting designer in 2014.
As always we are under the direction of Michael Estanich and the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Department of Theatre & Dance.
